Formula Each film-coated tablet contains trimetazidine dihydrochloride 20 mg and excipients q.s. (Lactose, pregelatinised starch, L-HPC, magnesium stearate, talc, film coating excipient).
Dosage form Film-coated tablets.
Presentation Box of 2 blisters x 30 film-coated tablets.
Indications - Preventive and long-term treatment of angina pectoris. - Treatment of ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris, sequelae of infarction).
Contra-indications Hypersensitivity to trimetazidine.
Precautions - During the first trimester of pregnancy. - Breast-feeding should be discontinued if the use of trimetazidine is considered essential.
Drug interactions Association with MAOIs is not recommended.
Side effects Mild and nonspecific: Gastric discomfort, nausea, headache and vertigo. The physician should be informed any side effects during the treatment with ZIDIMET.
Dosage and Administration 3 tablets daily, taken orally in 3 divided doses with food. No dosage adjustments required in patients with impaired renal and hepatic function.
Effects on the ability to drive or operate machinery You may experience headache and vertigo; use causion during labor or driving.
Overdosage and treatment In case of accidential overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
Shelf-life 24 months.
Storage Store in a dry and cool place (below 30 degree C). Keep out of reach of children.
