Composition Each gram cream contains Active ingredients: Acyclovir ...........................................................................50mg Inactive ingredients: Cetostearyl alcohol, White petrolatum, Liquid paraffin, Polyoxyl 20 cetostearyl ether, Propylene glycol, Methyl paraben, Propyl paraben, Purified water.
Indications For the treatment of viral infections due to Herpes simplex virus and Varicella-zoster virus.
Dosage & Administration AROTABIN cream should be applied 5 times daily at approximately 4-hourly intervals omitting the nightmare dose. AROTABIN cream should be applied to the lesions or impending lesions as early as possible after the start of an infection signal. Treatment should be continued for 5 days. If healing has not occurred, treatment may be continued for 5 days more.
Contraindications Patients known to be hypersensitivity to acyclovir.
Adverse Reactions Transient burning or stinging following application of AROTABIN cream may occur. Erythema or mild drying and flaking of the skin have been reported in a small proportion of patients. Inform your doctor or pharmacist in case of any adverse reactions related to drug use.
Storage Preserve in well-closed container at room temperature.
Expiry Date 36 months from the manufacturing date. Do not use if the drug is out of date
