According to a market research of the Viet Nam Pharmaceutical Companies Association, prices of imported pharmaceutical products continuously increased in October. 

A servey of 7,390 medical products carried out by the association showed that the Hanoi market has seen an average increase of 3.8 percent of 37 pharmaceutical products and an average decrease of 5.4 percent of 11 products.

Prices of domestic medicines in Ho Chi Minh City have been relatively stable, while imported medicines continued to be sold at high prices.

The association forecasts drug prices may raise from now until the end of the year.

The prediction of the association was contrary to report by Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting Trieu at a conference on medicine prices of the National Assembly Committee as he said drug prices would gradually remain stable from now until the end of the year.

Experts say that it is not easy to stabilize medicine prices because the national pharmaceutical industry depends most on imported materials as US Dollar price remains high vs Vietnamese Dong
